Meet Alyssa:

Alyssa is a compassionate and skilled therapist at Ministry Village. With 3 years of experience in mental health counseling, she brings a wealth of knowledge and care to every session. Alyssa holds a Master’s in Social Work with a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Georgia and has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, in addition to a cognitive behavioral therapy background.

Her passion lies in empowering individuals and instilling hope for clients to overcome challenges, draw on their strength and resilience, and live more in line with who they want to be. Alyssa believes in a human-centered approach and believes that clients should be able to voice concerns and questions along the way in a non-judgmental environment that prioritizes what’s most helpful for each individual client.

What Inspires Her:
For Alyssa, the most rewarding part of being at Ministry Village is getting to come alongside clients in their processing and pain and seeing them feel empowered to make real and sustainable changes that align them with who they want to be. She is committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges with evidence-based techniques and a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys learning, finding new restaurants, reading, spending time with family and friends, and rotating through a variety of hobbies in various seasons. She also has a passion for traveling and encountering different cultures and perspectives, language learning, spending time outside, and community outreach, which keeps her grounded and inspired.
