Therese “Tessa” Johnson, LMSW Counselor
Meet Tessa:
Tessa is a compassionate and skilled counselor at Ministry Village. With four years of experience in social work and counseling, she brings a wealth of knowledge and care to every session. Tessa holds a Master’s in Social Work from The University of Georgia and has specialized training in EMDR and trauma-informed care.
Her passion lies in walking with others through the healing process and seeing them step into their true identity and become empowered to make healthy changes. Tessa believes in the power of showing up as you are, that honesty and vulnerability are the only paths to new life, and that, although healing and change are hard, often the simplest methods and a willing heart yield the most change.
Tessa’s number one goal is to help you realize that you hold more power than you think, and you are strong enough to make the changes you wish to see in yourself, by yourself – she is just a helper in that process!
Areas of Expertise:
Victims of Crime (e.g. Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, etc.)
Complex Trauma

What Inspires Her:
For Tessa, the most rewarding part of being at Ministry Village is being able to provide quality care to those most in need and see their life change for the better. She is committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges with evidence-based techniques and a compassionate, client-centered approach.
A Little More About Tessa:
